New Purchase, needs TLC 900 1993

New purchase, 1993 944 na, Rex/Regina (new to me), leather that’s in good shape, electric driver seat, non functional bun warmers, working sun roof, no AC, no rust other than what is in the photo, 118k. Paid $2k. No history other than the engine was replaced about 4k miles ago with a ’95 engine with 94k miles. The PO said Jiffy Lube forgot to put the drain plug back in. I have the dealer’s detailed receipt totaling $2,800 that Jiffy Lube had to fork over. Lots of little things do not work, dings and dents on body panels and a broken rear corner light. ABS light came on after a rain. It looks much better at a distance rather than close up.

It held the road very will, same power as my other na red blocks. Handling was on the soft side plus there was a rear end groan while going slow over bumps, a bushing, I think

I have been looking for a beater. This is it but it is has potential to be a little more depending on how much I want to invest on the exterior. The interior was vacuumed, wiped down, and the leather is now soaking in Groits leather rejuvenator. Today, the nasty looking engine will get a pressure wash, tranny flush, Dex-Cool, and Mobil 1.

I don’t even know if it has the splash pan (probably not)…one thing at a time…belts, hoses, radiator…it probably needs $400-$500 in preventative maintence catch up.

Title for the photo: How can you tell if body work has been done? Just whack it again.

Happy New Year, brick heads!

Tom F Three 940s. Lein holder on two more (the kid's). Rust in peace, '78 245, probably Campbell's soup cans by now.
