this is for a B230F engine, or 94 940 n/a.
i was cleaning the engine area a little bit and took off the plastic cover that covers the gap between the grilleand the radiator cowl. i noticed that that's where the inatke tube runs to supply the airbox, but to my surprise, it has a little bend on the end that points to the grill, but it is turned toward the radiator. i would think that if the opening faced the front (towrad the grille) it would get a better air supply instead of it being pointed to the radiator.
so i went and cut the tube with a sharp razor, got some flexible 6mm plastic sheet, and some clamps, and inverted the tube's end so as to have the open end face the venting in the grille (180 rotate). it looks real clean, but will it do anything at all? should i worry about water entry? do i have too much spare time?
ps: it took me 30 min. to do this :)
