I have a 1990 240DL sedan with AW70 auto. trans and it has the electronic speedometer.

My problem after 163,000 miles is differential leakage in an odd spot to me....the backside top of the pumpkin' where that small tube goes into the top of the pumpkin'. What is that for? There appears to be some sort of seal there.

Has anyone ever experenced this nomenclature before? It's a new one to me.
