What alternator should/can I grab from the boneyard?? 200 1978

Will be heading to the boneyard tomorrow, and since the alternator has started to sing to me, I figured it would be a good time to grab one. Question is, which will work, and which are most desireable. Car is a 78 242 w/b21f and ac, already converted to an internal regulator so I'm not worried about that. Will late model 240 work, or even 700 series? Not really worried about output, just that it will fit no problem. Thanks in advance.
