Failed Texas Nitrous Oxide emissions test. 700

My '87 740 GLE Wagon (250K miles) recently failed the Nitrous Oxide portion of the emissions test and since I recently had the flame trap serviced I wasn't sure what to do next. Would the o2 sensor cause high nox readings? If not does anyone have any other suggestions? I haven't changed the distributor cap/wires lately. ?? Thanks! Thom Wilkins
