How to economioally and ethically sell a car that doesn't start?

The car is a 1992 745TI. It is in nice shape besides not being able to start. I am now a full time grad student with a wife who is a grad student and 2 kids (2 and 3yrs old). I no longer have the time to take on this project but I also have alot invested in time and money. I blew the headgasket (8 dollar hose w/ a crack) and have been slowly replacing everything. I had the head professionally rebuilt and everything is reinstalled. Just something is off. How does one economioally and ethically sell a car that doesn't start? Should I tow it to the local independant Volvo specialist and invest a little more to increase my return?

The last thing it will need is a set of tires, but we'll see.
