i've attempted to 'prove' a engine that has not run in 6 years-----without using the cars fuel system. i've removed the in-tank and the main-fuel-pump fuses, 'made' a fuel system using a high-pressure fuel pump drawing from the gas can i use for the lawnmower [got fuel before the fuel rail and at the line-
pressure-regulator] if the response from my post-just-now advises that the
injectors are SUPER SENSITIVE AS TO FUEL PRESSURE i'll put an accessory line-
pressure-regulator-and-gauge-into-my contraption however MY PROBLEM IS THE ENGINE TURNS OVER, HAS GOOD SPARK YET WILL NOT FIRE AND RUN ON-IT'S
OWN! i have removed the plug beneath the cold-start-valve filled a pump oiler with gasoline, squirted a little gas---got the engine running----as
long as i continue to squirt gas from the oiler, that is.......when i removed #4 and #6 fuses
did i also DISABLE the electrical feed to the fuel injectors?
ANYONE HAVE A SUGGESTION?
