Q: Can brake lines be pressure and vacuum bled simultaneously?

I have always used the old fashioned method of helper pumping the pedal while I bled the air/old fluid out of the lines. Once I understood the bleeding process and why pressure bleeding would be so much easier, I decided to start to look into the various equipment to pressure bleed. But now that I have started looking at the equipment I am also reading ads and paragraphs of comments (mostly tool truck tool sellers) stating, for example

... "Why do messy pressure bleeding when vacuum bleeding is cleaner and safer on the brake system, and gets all the air out, via the vacuum method."

I think the interests behind the Vacula and Mityvac systems are the most outspoken on this issue. Just wondering what those of you who have given all the methods a fair chance think about them.

thanks--diyer
