1991 740 a/c compressor quit. 700 1991

The a/c compressor quit on the wife's car yesterday. It had been running with no problem but just quit while she was driving home. The fan blows and I checked all the fuses and they are fine. I don't have any power to the compressor wire. If the compressor is burnt shouldn't I have power leading to it? I thought it might be the module so I changed that out with one from a 940 (which I know is good) and I still don't have any power to the compressor wire leading out of the back of the module. Any suggestions from anyone would be appreciated. The car has 163,000 miles on it and if it was September rather than July I would blow it off and fix it when it gets cooler. But in Texas you can't do without the a/c this time of the year.

Thanks!
