Stopped at the dealer yesterday to see one of my friends. I said what's up? Oh we are working on these pieces of Sh*t. 6 FWD up on the racks 2 S70's were getting tie-end rods, two S70's had blown transmissions and one S80 was getting a new rear main seal, and a new XC90 with less than 500 miles on it with the dash board completely torn out so they could replace an evaporator. Not one car had more than 60K on it. I asked about the suspension problem and was told oh that is normal. We do at least 5 to 6 tie rods a week. The parts department keeps at least 20 sets of tie-end rods and ball joints in stock. These guys are now starting to see more and more problems cropping up with the FWD. Still say the S60 is the best of the lot. So far very few problems are showing themselves.
One owner that was there getting the rear seal done on his 2000 S80 (41K on the clock) made the comment that he should not have traded in his 960 for the S80 it was the biggest mistake he ever made.
