Bad fuel pump relay, and a couple of questions 700 1985

Well I just got my car back after having it break down and towed last week. Ugg, I was the fuel pump relay and cost me $167 including the tow charge because I did not take care of this known problem. Take the advice listed in the FAQ and either change it or at least re-heat the solder so you don't get stuck with a big bill like me.

Anyhow, I was checking the main fuel pump and it looks pretty nasty so I think I will change it.

Question 1. Is the original main pump a Bosch unit. I want to use OEM and I saw another manufacture pump at one of the online parts sites.

Question 2. The pump wires don't look too good. Can I easily pull new wiring through the body of the car. It looks like the wires go into the body less than a foot from the pump.

Thanks in advance,
Randy
