Replacement of neutral start switch/backup light switch 244 '89 200

The back up lights on this 244 have not worked for 5 months. The bulbs are good and the fuse is Ok as well. The neutral start switch works fine. Could the problem be this switch? If not what else should I check before I have to replace the neutral start switch to check if this is the problem?
