How do I remove front seat cover? 900

Car is '94 965. Leather set cover on seat has popped a few stitches & must be sewn from the back side. When I looked under the seat, it looked like there might be some thin metal pieces running thru a channel in the leather top and are anchored in the seat frame. Are these things the mechanism of holding the cover on the seat frame?
