Need help with tire size

Hello Volvo friends! I have a 1991 740 with the factory size 185-65-R15 tires.
I would like to replace these with some 205-55-R15. This tire is 1/2 inch smaller in diameter and one inch wider.
How much will this throw off the speedometer and 60 mph (100km)?
Will I need a front end alignment?
Does anyone have any tips, suggestions or advice?
Any help will be greatly appreciated!
