I live in Montreal Canada, snow, salt, cold/hot weather.
2.5 years ago I replaced the complete exhaust on my 940 GLE B234F 1991, with Bosal, including downpipe and cat.
Now I have a hole in the bottom corner of the front muffler, and the rear muffler has totally detiriorated at the clamp (rust and large hole area).
Also the rear muffler has seem to have developped a loose baffle inside causing a VERY LOUD vibration. I was never happy with the sound. I found it relatively loud (compared to original) and upon over 4K RPM is sounds shushy...
On my 240 sedan I installed a Starla exhaust kit (cat back) from fcpgroton, and I am relatively happy with it. Quiet, and hopfully lasting longer than only 2 years...
What do I put on the 940, if I am targetting a quiet sound, and high reliability in terms of rust?
Regards,
Greg
