Already asked "da island boy" dis one directly, but I want lots of opinions. Then I can feel justified doing whatever I want.
Throughout my long history of B20-engined Volvos (one that was interrupted for some time until I got this current 1800) I recall adjusting the valves while only having to move the crank once. I'd set it to TDC, adjust all the valves with slack, then rotate the crank 360 degrees and set the others. I did this for years with no apparent problems.
In attempting to refresh my memory I consulted the Haynes manual, and read some other items on Volvo forums, and they seemed very much more difficult and complicated than what I had been doing. What's the best method?
Also, can someone advise how to use the search feature on this board. I put in B20 Vale Adjust and got no results. Then started inserting AND and got thousands.. How should I access this topic in the archive...surely it's been discussed.
