On the Road Again... 200

The first part of this post is just me venting excitement- after about 14 months on the disabled list, my 81 242 is back on the road with new whitewalls, bearings, steering rack, alternator, plugs/wires/dist., and a few other odds and ends. I made a 7 hour road trip last night and she never felt so smooth.

There is, however, a buzz/humm that started sometime while she was sitting in the driveway in between trips to the shop. It comes from someplace under the hood on the driver side, closer to the cab than the front, but I haven't been able to pinpoint it. I have noticed that as the fule level gets lower (less than a 1/4 tank), the buzzing gets more consistent and is pretty much constant towards the red. I ran a tank of high octane and a bottle of STP gas treatment on the highway last night, but the sound was still there when I stoped for gas. Whatever it is doesn't seem to effect the way she runs, but I figure something isn't right. I plan to replace the fule filter, but any other input/suggestions are much appreciated.
