Passanger side... on the engine... below the valve cover there is this fitting/nipple 200

Hello Fellow Brickheads,
Yesterday I was searching out a rear main seal leak (which looks to be either loose oil pan bolts -tightened- or a semi-stripped acorn nut on the rear of the value cover -tightened all but the stripped one, which also goes to the ground strap by the way) and I noticed a hose fitting/nipple on the engine block... What is this fittings function? Does it have to do with draining the cooling system? Or, is it something else? Thanks in advance, Jon
