It was on eBay, low price, and looked like a device that would allow one to have a "kill" switch on the battery for security - so I bought it.
Looks like just what I thought, has a clamp for a battery terminal, a place for a battery cable to clamp on to, and a pair of 18-22ga wires for the circuit to operate the switch. The light gauge wires are red 12inch, ending in a female .250 inch spade connector. The yellow is about 48 inches, ending in a .250 inch male spade connector, or the type that locks into a multi-lead connector.
Then I looked inside the box, OOPS, now I am bumfoozled. The two leads from the actuator wires (red and yellow) and a black lead from the battery clamp, are attached to a little circuit board. What it does - I haven't a clue. Maybe you have seen one of these things.
Description, since I am "photo-challenged".
Black plastic box, 1 inch think, 1.75 inch wide, 2.5 inch long.
Holding it so as to look at a flat 1.75 x 2.5 side, the battery clamp is at the top, the battery cable lug at the left side, left, and the jack for the red and yellow wires at the bottom, right side.
There is written on it:
Top line: Small all caps: PROPERTY OF
Next line: in logo font: VOLVO
Next line: in small all caps: VOLVO CAR CORPORATION
Next line: in small all caps: PLEASE RETURN
Then a space, and a number over on the right side: 8645182
Then a line formed of a series of small solid squares
Then a logo of BLP, letters in reverse, and to the right of that a company logo POWER MOTIVE
Very fine print at the bottom: European Patent
a second line: EP 0 532 586 B'
On the right side, near the top, is stencilled a number: 0202, maybe a serial number?
Sorry I am not able, yet, to send a picture. Here is a cut-and-paste of the URL from the picture in the eBay presentation:

Dunno if it'll work or not.
If you have a glimmering on how this device is used, I will appreciate it.
It is a well-made solid little gadget, and I am hoping use it to add some security to the wifemobile.
Thanks in Advance,
Bob
