In spite of three days of BP Blaster and a good set of Flare Wrenches, I managed to strip the flare nuts while trying to replace rear brake hoses on my '90 745. What are my options beside taking it to the dealer? Can I cut the flare nuts or the tubing and reflare ? Is the nut available alone? My friendly dealer will no doubt refuse to reflare and require replacement of the whole section of brake line back to the axle. I heard that this is not a typical flare job, what kind of kit do I need?
