Hi Fellow Brickheads -

My 1984 245GL has the "Karate Chop Adjustment" type outside rearview mirrors. They are a PITA and the RH one is a major PITA. I have access to a 1987 240 with both o/s mirrors, much easier to adjust.

But - how does one get them off the 1987 door? Not obvious to me. Also, will it be necessary to remove the door trim panels to get the mirrors off?

And, of course, will they fit the same hole as the old "KCA' mirrors do?
