Bosche spark plugs CRAP? 200

I've been doing my own tune ups for a couple of years now and I've notice that they wear much faster than champion spark plugs. My volvo mechanic says he never uses Bosche plugs because they are terrrible. Is this true. What kind are the best? Mine only lasted 6 months.
