car randomly stalls, will restart 900 1993

My 940 randomly stalls. The engine completely quits, rather quickly. It has happened while stopped, while driving and while turning. It takes about 2 - 3 attempts and then will restart and run fine again for awhile, sometimes several days without a problem.. any ideas? it has the B230f engine
