Need Help Testing an '83 240 Air Mass Meter 200 1983

I am testing my AMM according to the Bentley book in trying to solve a poor idle, and now a no start condition.

I tested the Platinum wire resistance and it tested high-4.6 to 5.1, Bentley says allowable range is 3.5-4.0. Do I have a bad AMM? Also would it help to spray Intake cleaner over the assembley inside it? I also checked the Idle Mixture Potentiometer- it tested at 842 OHMS. The plug is missing- I have left it where it was, but could this be the source of my problems?

Thank You for your time,
Seth Johnson at the University of North Dakota
