Flex Disc 200 1989

Got the car back from the mechanic today and he says I need a new flex disc in the driveline. Car has 201,000 miles at this point. How tough is it to do. Is it something the average guy can do. Looking at the Haynes manual it seems not to difficult.

Any tricks of the trades or any information would be appreciated.
