ECC Malfunction? 900 1995

During the last week my 1995 960 has devloped a problem which I believe is centered in the ECC system. When set on auto the windows fog up and the cabin fills with the smell of coolent. I have not found a coolent leak yet but I have had to top up the fluid level twice. Any ideas as the cause?
