The lower control arm bushings need to be replaced in my '90 740 turbo wagon. The local independent repair shop, specializing in Volvos, quoted me $300 to do the job. They do good work, but typically seem to be pretty expensive.
Does this price sound fair? High?
Is this a task that a non-Volvo specialist could handle?
Finally, how tough of a job would it be to do myself? I'm not particularly fond of working under the car, but will if the task isn't too difficult.
Once it's done, is an alignment in order?
Thanks,
M Rad
