I becamse the recent owner of my stepmothers 1984 240 dl (was ina pinch needed a car). She kept it well maintenanced, but through a mechanic. As i'm not in a fortunate enough position to pay someone work on the car, I have to do it myself. I was curious as toa few things. What is the recommended gear oil type for the manual transmission? (the gears seem to want to stick/bind when shifting, friend who has experienced this in a different car said changing the gear oil fixed it, referenced as i've read some volvos have 'full life' gear oil). How many quarts am I going to need, and where on the transmission are the drain and fill plugs (I have n't gotten up underneath the car to look yet. Thanks for the help, much appreciated in advance
