Leaky A/C Fitting - Do I need to buy a new hose??? 900 1993

I have a leaky A/C fitting at the first high side connection, (Hose between Compressor and Condenser). I recently purchased the vehicle and it has a new condenser and SOME new lines. As far as I can tell the lines in and out of the condensor are new, the are genuine Volvo parts. The longer insulated hose between the Condenser and Compressor is original. A leak has developed in the compression fitting between the new and old hose.s. I had the system evacuated installed a new O-Ring and was very careful not to pinch it... the leak is still there. Should I just bite the bullet and buy a new hose. I am thinking that the flare or O-ring seat might be damaged. The Volvo dealer wants 150 for this hose, I would rather not, but if will ensure success I am willing to do it.

thoughts???
