It's been a long time coming but all the bugs have been worked out. I own a 91 940T with 153,000 on it. While on vacation last month I started having drivability problems. The car wouldn't rev over 4,000 rpms at WOT. The whole time I was on vacation I let the car run low on gas everday, to the point of the gas light being on!! So when started haveing the problems with high revving I thought it was the fuel filter. Changed that and still had the same problem except now it would rev to 5500 rpms before it would cut out. so when I got back home I had the fuel pressure checked, it was at 48-52 psi. Me and m mechanic were at a loss. Agian I made another post, someone suggested that I have the catalytic converter checked to see if it was plugged. Sure enough it was. I had 5 psi of back pressure, and that was without the turbo putting out boost. Changed the CAT and still had the same problem, only now the car was much peppier and more responsive. So agian I turned to brickboard and low and behold, someone posted a response to chech the airbox foam. They said that sometime the foam at the top of the airbox comes loose and gets lodged in the screen of the Mass Air Flow Sensor. Well sure enough that was indeed the case. After a month of problems the brick board has come to my rescue and saed me time and money. THANKS A LOT FELLOW BRICKSTERS!!!!!
