Time is working against me on this one as I am leaving for a business trip and I don't want to leave my wife in a lurch with this problem.

91 745 turbo with 123,000 miles well maintained. While driving the car recently I noticed it would miss/hesitate when pulling away from a light. Occasionally on warm starts it would fire right up but would not idle unless I ran the rpm's up to 1500 for fifteen seconds or so. Pulled it in the garage last night and pulled the code of 232 (lean or rich condition at idle). Son noticed that the two hoses on the canister were off (?). Replaced hoses and cleared codes. Today I kept the car and while driving I noticed surging as rpm's increased. Flooring the car resulted in pronounced lurching and surging (it didn't really want to run over 65 mph while kicked down and floored). Very much like intermittent fuel supply interruption or starvation. Came home and checked for codes and had 232 again (although the light isn't coming on).

Pulled the plugs and they were all covered with black soot.

O2 sensor checks out (ranging from .09-.74 volts)

Temperature sensor seems to check out from pin 13 to ground as the car cools the resistance is in range and going up.

All ECU grounds check out.

** Resistance check between pin 9 and 18 calls for 4 ohms in Bentleys for the LH2.4 Fuel Injectors and I am getting an OPEN

** Resistance check beween pin 9 and 32 calls for approximately 10 ohms for the cold start injector and once again I have an open.
Can anyone shed any light on this open condition rather than a resistance?

Fuel filter, plugs, cap and rotor have less than 20,000 miles on them. Fuelpump relay and suppression relays resoldered within same mileage. Rail pressure (at least at idle and slightly above) is 40 psi. Fuel pressure regulator checks out per Bentley's.
I am on my way to the FAQ's (again)- perhaps something there will sound familiar. Any suggestions??
