Glove lamp out - how in the heck to replace? 700 1990

I've been trying to replace the bulb in my glove compartment for quite some time now and have been unsuccessful. I've tried numerous methods of opening up the little plasic casing and all that. Anyone know how to go about doing this without basically having to pull the entire compartment out? Or am I just missing something really simple? It'd be nice to see in my glove box during the night again. :) Thanks.
