Help - Wife is Stranded 200 1982

My wife just called to tell me her 1982 240 Wagon has died in McMinnville Oregon. She had just made it there from Seattle. She said it started bucking and losing power, then would run fine again, and started bucking until it finally died. It cranks when she tries to start it and she can smell gas, but the engine won't run. Any ideas?

Also, does anyone know of a service shop in the McMinnville area, or south of Portland?
