How hard is a DIY brake job? 700 1992

Like a recent post my front rotors are warped from a tire shop overtightening the lugs. The car goes squeak-um-squeak-um with light pedal pulse when braking so I am pretty sure that is the problem. So I need a brake job done and considering doing it myself. I do most of the drivetrain maintenance but have never tackled a brake job.

So here is my questions:

1) Our car has ABS. How hard would you rate do it yourself brake job including the rotors 1=easy, 10=hard?

2) I have heard that the Volvo brake pads are the best. Should I get Volvo parts pads and rotors from the dealer?

3) If aftermarket acceptable, which brands of pads and rotors do you recommend?

4) What repair manual would you recommend for a step by step guide?
