Stumped the local Volvo Mechanic... 900 95

How about you all.

My 1995 965 suddenly started idling VERY rough on start up one day after a high RPM run to free up the valves. Before that there was an ocassional stumble at idle, but nothing big. The idle smooths out a bit after it has run for a few minutes. The power of the engine is way down, especially between 2500-300 RPM. When the engine is straining, the air coming from the ventilation fan (in recirc mode) goes down to a bare whisper. This had me thinking it might be a vacuum leak. The car has 58K on it and I switched to synthetic oil three months ago.

I had the local Volvo shop look into this when I had the 60K service done on Thursday. They looked for a vacuum leak, but found none. The engine is not setting any codes, even running this badly. They could find nothing to say what the problem is, and they didn't want to take the "shotgun" approach. I'm off to the dealership with the car on Monday. Anyone care to give any informed opinions as to where the problem may lie.
