Hello, after picking up my car from a shop who installed new Bilsteins shocks/struts, my 240 started losing power in 4th gear (manual) doing about 50 mph on the freeway. I pulled off freeway and the car finally died right as I was pulling into a gas station! Thinking my fuel gauge was bad I put a few bucks of gas in car but only got a hundred feet or so and the car just died. Was able to start it up after sitting for twenty minutes or so, but had to keep pressure on the gas pedal for a good few minutes until it started to sound like it was idleing OK. Got it home today but it stalled once again after restarting, and I also noticed the lack of power sensation in first gear, but it did not die and I was able to get home OK.
I am fairly inept when it comes to mechanics, but is there anything simple I should be looking for? The fuel filter was changed about 6 months back, as were the plugs and plug wires. None of the idiot lights are coming on and there are no codes stored in the computer.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
