Thank you, Bricksters:

Your advise will be well taken..I have prepared for this by buying a B230 head from the boneyard last summer,having it reconditioned by a machine shop and am now going to swap it out for the warped/cracked one on the car.

The white smoke reference to the pope is that after the cardinals decide on who is to be the next pope after the present one dies, the signal for a decision is a plume of white smoke from the church tower in the Vatican in Rome.
