I just removed intake manifold in preparation of redoing wiring harness.

(I've been cleaning off oil deposits for past two days!) I may as well clean and replace everything I can while I've got it opened up. So...

On the oil separator? below flame trap, I've seen remarks regarding NOT disturbing the hose into the oil pan. Is it connected to the oil separator?

How difficult to remove without disturbing this?

Also I see two sensors screwed into the block, one with one wire to it is the oil temp gauge to instrument gauge? the other to the ECU? with a plug with several wires. Should I replace them both, can I check without running engine? Any thing else I should replace check while I have excess?

I plan on replacing vacuum lines, heater hoses, etc.

Another question. When I removed fuel line from rail it would not stop leaking. I even put it above the level of gas tank. Is this normal.

What about cleaning intake manifold while off? Sorry for all the questions but I don't want to have to do this again this decade!
