240 740 comparison questions 200 88

Looking for a ride for teenage volvo killer daughter....probably a 240...but i've seen a few 740's for sale....could anyone answer a few

questions......are they similar mechanically??? did they use the same

electronic ignition systems.....what years did they use the biodegradable

wiring harnesses.....basically ..is an 8X 740 just like an 8X 240 but in

a different skin..?
