OK, I take it back, ipd hasn't given up on the PV. It's just a little more complicated for us. John McRaven's description of the sway bar kit's overall effect on the 544's handling--and the inclusion of the rear bar in the kit--convinced me to give up on the low-buck double-front bar option. I called Cameron at ipd today, and of course the last 3 kits have been sold.
So here's the deal: ipd needs ten earnest orders to produce the run of bar kits. The Volvo Club of Chile (who bought the last two) want 3 more, and I want one; there must be six other 544 owners out there who've found their interest piqued by the Sway Bar chronicles. Let's do it, guys! Call Cameron! (800)444-6473! He'll put your name on the list, and when the list has ten names on it he'll recheck with everyone, at which point I believe they require some type of commitment in the form of $ in order to proceed.
I guess I should point out that I'm not selling bars for ipd, or affiliated with them in any way. I'm making this appeal only for my own sake, the sakes of three Chileans, and six others who haven't quite realized yet that they absolutely must tighten the suspensions of their PVs. Reread John McRaven (and Matt B.'s) posts, I defy you to not want a kit for your car. End of pitch, thanks. And thanks, John for pointing out that these can still be had.
