Oil Drain Plug 200 1983

Hi all!

I got an oil change today and realized that the tech unscrewed the nut that's on the red, rounded thing that's located in front of the tranny. I was almost mortified because I thought that was the OD and that he had drained my tranny fluid. But, of course, he knew what he was doing, but I still had to ask. He told me that's where the oil drain plug is at, on that red thingy. Just to make sure--is he right? Thanks.
