Timing Belt Replacement 200 84

Hi All,

Having just removed the upper timing belt cover to replace the front camshaft seal on a B32E, I see that the timing belt could also do with being replaced.

Looks to me that in order to do so the lower timing belt cover has to be removed and that the bloody crankshaft pulley will have to be removed so as to get the cover off. Is this so? Seems like a lot of work just to replace the belt.

How often do the belts last in service? I think that they are supposed to be changed at 60 000km (35 000 miles). The belt on my B21A has done about 70 000 miles. Can i expect a breakdown soon unless replaced?

Thanks for any and all advice.
