Hello again!
More questions! BTW Thank you very much for all the help I have gotten so far.
As you help me to troubleshoot, the cat converter in the car is plugged. I've been doing some research. The easiest way would be to replace it with a direct fit, since a have not been able to find a shop to custom build a 2.5" system in SF CA. Now, fcpgroton.com sales a aftermarket cat for $ 270 made in sweden and summitracing.com a direct replacement hi-flow made by catco for about $ 250. What would be a better option? How long can expect this parts to last?
Second, a found a '84 240 T at a junkyard (not selfservice) looks as if the car had some performance enhancements since it has an intercooler. I would like to get it if it is a good deal. Were 240T fit with intercoolers from the factory for this year model?
Third, the same car has the exhaust manifold an turbo ready to be taken since somebody already took the engine head. How can I tell if it is a 90+ exhaust? Is it worth to get the turbo (The shop is only asking $40)? The compressor outlet has been exposed to dust and weather.
Last, can a turbo (water cooled) and an intercooler from an '89 740 T be fitted in this '83 240 T?
Thank you very much for any replies
