Fuel Pump Fuses 200 1989

Just out of curiousity, Why did the Volvo continue to run when I pulled out both fuses? 1 in tank pump fuse and 1 main pump fuse. Pulled them both out and the car ran fine. I let it run for about a minute trying to reduce the pressure in the fuel line. The car is 100% dealer serviced and never had a wire cut on it, ie. no rigging.

Also I finally solved the running rich problem. Computer!

Changed;

Mass Air

O2 sensor

Fuel Pressure Regulator

Cooolant Temp Sensor

TPS

WARNING Be extremely careful when you jump start other cars, I believe this was the fault. Possibly a spike from a big spark.
