Cat. Converter Rattle Help! 700 1986

Have a noticable rattle that seems to be coming from the catalytic converter. Could this be the internal cone that has come loose (referred to in the 700 faq).If it is, can I wait until next weekend to fix, or could this cause additional damage. Any help greatly appreciated!!!
