How many mufflers does a 1983 245 have? 200 1983

Hi all!

Ok, let's see here. Today I was inquiring places about a new muffler for my 245. The question they asked was "which one?" Does my wagon have a front (or middle) and rear muffler? If that's the case, then my rear is missing along with the tail pipe. Anyhow, I did get a new muffler (universal) for my wagon. Funny thing is now I have the old muffler (located in the middle) and this new muffler (located in the rear, horizontally placed). Is this normal? The car is much quieter now :o) Funny thing, I was quoted a wide variety of prices, from 45-200 dollars! I ended going to this place that cost me $65 (parts and labor). It's nothing fancy, but it works!

Now, on to another thing. Today I noticed that the tailgate wires located in the driver side tailgate latch are severed? What do they connect to? Are they easy to mend? I do notice that my license plate lights are not working. Also, on the fuse cover, I believe it's fuse #11(?), it says "Demist (overdrive)" It was blown, so I replaced it. What does it effect? And when I stop at a light, car idles at 1. But when I stop and shift to PARK, car idles at 2 to 2 1/2. Is my car running rich?

Ok, that's it. By the way, I drove the car today for the first time, and it was a joy! It shifts flawlessly--I'm wondering if my OD is working. At 35-40mph, rpm reads 2 1/2 to 3, don't remember exactly. Is this about right? Thanks!
