I have an automatic `83 volvo turbo wagon. I`ve had it less than a year, and it drives great.
A couple of months ago it started dying when I would take my foot off the gas quickly. Well I got tired of that and took it into the shop. They replaced a couple of hoses around the turbo, put in a new turbo valve and a new ignition rotor.
It doesn`t die any more, but now since I got it back, it has trouble with the cold start.
I took it back and they replaced the cold stat ignition, but it didn`t change anything. It seems as though gas just isn`t reaching the engine, it chokes, sputters, pings and dies. It starts fine after the car has been driven a bit..
Does anyone have any experience with this sort of problem. I'm taking it back into the shop and would love some ideas to give my mechanic.
Thanks so much, I really appreciate the help.
