The rehab appears to be coming to a conclusion and the car is running nicely.. One problem remains which is that the car starts promptly, runs about 15-20 seconds, the idle then drops and it stalls. Then, I start it again and its fine.
I have checked the fuel system. Fuel pump is new, injectors old but dont leak. Cold start valve is new, it works, doesnt leak. Fuel pressure holds at 30Lbs. Vacuum leaks, at least all the ones I could find, have been fixed. Ignition system is fine. Coil checks out good, and I installed a Crane electronic system which works nicely. So I am sure there is good, continuous spark.
I have tentatively concluded that the mixture is either rich or lean at cold idle. Rich could choke it and of course, if lean, its starving. Does this seem reasonable? If so, which is it.........rich or lean. Any other suggestions. All suggestions cheerfully accepted. Thanks
