brighter bulb on SR-7145 stereo finger pad? 700 89

I'd like to put brighter bulbs in the SR-7145 pre-set finger pads for better night illumination. I assume a bulb illuminates the station preset pad, and another the amp slide bars.

True?, any problem pulling sr-7145 out and removing faceplate to get to bulbs (I assume a Radio Shack bulb will replace stock bulb successfully?

Yes, I have anti theft code to reacivate stereo
