Hi All,

Today I grabbed a pair of Harbor Freight # 99704 radiator pinch off pliers
to keep in the car in case the heater core decides to let go.
The clamps are based on vise grips and look like good construction.

My 850 heater core let go and it gave my gas peddle foot a steam bath.
Lucky for me I was only a mile from home. If you carry these pliers
then you can clamp off the heater hoses and avoid a tow maybe, depending
on where you are, and Murphy's sense of humor.
Having the right tools around is good.

They claim: "Eliminates need to drain radiator when servicing your vehicles
cooling system".

Maybe some of the Brickboard heavy hitters can chime in on other applications for these clamps?
